Rochester Man Found Unresponsive After Traffic Crash
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police officers were busy Monday dealing with traffic mishaps and accidents - including one involving a man who later died.
Police Capt. John Sherwin says a car driven by 66-year-old Rodney Rustan of Rochester was found crashed on 41st St NW near the Roy Watson Youth Sports complex around 8:30 AM.
Sherwin says the car had left the road, clipped a tree and then crashed into a utility pole. Rustan had no pulse when an officer arrived. Sherwin says a pulse was restored before Rustan was taken to St. Marys Hospital but he later died.
Sherwin says it’s suspected Rustan may have suffered a medical problem prior to the crash. An autopsy was scheduled Tuesday.
