Rochester Man Gets Stayed Prison Sentence For 5th DWI Conviction

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man has been sentenced for his 5th DWI-related conviction and could be sent to prison if he’s caught again.
It was also the second felony DWI conviction for 28-year-old Abel Rocha, who was arrested three times in 2019.
His most recent arrest happened in June last year when he was pulled over for speeding on Highway 52 in Rochester. A test at the jail showed his blood/alcohol concentration was .14.

He was given a 54-month prison sentence that was stayed for 7 years. Rocha was also sentenced to serve 60 days in jail during each of the next three years.
Rocha’s record shows he was arrested for DWI four other times.
