Rochester Man Sent Back To Prison For Latest DUI Conviction
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man who was sentenced to 5 ½ years in prison for DUI several years ago has been given the same sentence for his latest conviction.
Sentenced last week was 42-year-old Justen Heintzman.
He was drunk when he caused a high-speed crash in June 2020 in Rochester. The criminal complaint says he was driving at a high rate of speed on Highway 52 when he rear-ended a large passenger van near Civic Center Dr. Heintzman fled on foot but police located him and took him into custody.
A blood test showed his blood/alcohol concentration was nearly .17. He pleaded guilty to felony DUI in January.

Heintzman was also given a 5 ½ year sentence for a DUI case in 2015. After he was told to leave a downtown Rochester bar, Heintzman got into his car and started crashing into several parked vehicles. Some police officers on foot patrol heard the noise and tried to stop Heintzman and one was hurt after being struck by his car.
