Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - There were some tense moments Monday night outside a Rochester convenience store when an employee spotted a man holding a cigarette lighter in one hand and a gas pump nozzle in the other.

A police spokesman says the man was making threats to “blow this place up” and the employee hurriedly turned off all the pumps. The incident happened around 11:30 PM at the Holiday store on 37th St NW.

The employee called 911 and the man was still holding the lighter and nozzle when officers arrived. They were able to subdue him and took him into custody. Arrested was 29-year-old Yol Chadack of Rochester.

It was suspected he was under the influence of an unknown substance.
