One of the most iconic representations of spring is just as confused by the weather as you are.

I feel like we're all becoming Noah from The Notebook... "it wasn't over...it still isn't over!" only I don't want to kiss winter with passion following that statement. I'm over it. You're over it. We're all ...over it.

If you think we feel bad about missing out on a spring, think about the poor robins. They're even more confused! Our friend Aleta Maria Maccini sent us photographic evidence of this.

She reports, "I have some cute puffy little robins (4 of them) taking shelter at my front door (and leaving me presents!)" I think I speak for all of us when I say, "ain't nobody got time for that!" If we're going to pick up after an animal it best be our own pets!

However, I can blame the robins. They're thinking they're supposed to welcome spring with us, and they haven't had the chance to yet. They sing, they stay optimistic, and yet Old Man Winter continually knocks them down. He's set to again on Wednesday.

In all seriousness, I can't imagine how confused and hungry these robins are. Maybe we should leave a little extra in the bird feeders until spring actually gets here?
