Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester set a rainfall record Tuesday with nearly 1.5-inches (1.48) recorded at the city airport.

That raised the seasonal precipitation total to nearly 47-inches, which is more than 19-inches above normal.

The city has received almost 10-inches of rain since Sept. 1st - and more is expected into Thursday morning.

Rainfall totals across SE Minnesota Tuesday were generally in the 1 - 2 inch range with more than two inches in Mower and Houston counties.
