Earlier this month, we shared the huge news that left a big hole in the Buffalo Wild Wings strip - the owners of Kelleys Quality Sewing Center announced their plans to retire:

After 34 years of sharing our passion for sewing, it is with a heavy heart that we announce our decision to retire and close our sewing store. It has been our great pleasure to assist so many wonderful customers in the city of Rochester and beyond. - Darlene and John Kelley

Far too often, we hear news like this and watch the store sit vacant for years (i.e. Gander Mountain). Fortunately, that's not the case with Kelleys. The empty store will be filled in the very near future. So what's taking its place? Once Upon a Child!

Once Upon a Child has been operating under new ownership for just over a year now. This move will allow them to be closer to their sister store, Plato's Closet (4 doors down, to be exact). According to the owner of the two stores, Once Upon a Child will be taking over the space in April.

What is Once Upon a Child?  They sell the latest in gently used brand name clothes, shoes, toys, books, equipment, and furniture for way less - up to 70% less than other retailers. They are currently in the Hy-Vee Barlow Plaza and will stay open until the move.
