Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man is accused of beating up a woman who was able to get away by running outside in cold weather with no shoes or coat.

Arrested Sunday on two felony domestic assault charges was 26-year-old Jake Anderson.

The 24-year-old woman called 911 around 10:45 AM Sunday to report the assault. She told officers Anderson wasn’t feeling good and became upset when he heard her talking to a female friend about caring for that person’s sick child instead of him.

The woman says Anderson punched, kicked and choked her before she was able to get away. He began chasing her but stopped when he saw people coming out of Bethel Lutheran Church. The woman ran to a nearby friend’s home where police were called.
