While the results are still coming in from throughout southeast Minnesota, it looks like here in Rochester, the spring snowstorm that dumped all this lovely snow on might just have been the biggest single snowfall we've had in three years.

Yes, by early accounts, it would appear you have to go all the way back to the epic late-spring snowstorm of May 2, 2013 to find a  winter (or spring) storm that dumped more snow on us at one time. Back in 2013, several areas of southeast Minnesota set single-day snowfall records with the incredible amounts of snow that fell. In northwest Rochester, 15.5 inches of snow fell-- and, remember, it was May, for cryin' out loud!

While we're perhaps not quite at those levels with this snowstorm (which the Weather Channel dubbed, 'Winter Storm Selene'), we've still seen some pretty big unofficial snowfall totals across southeast Minnesota.

In fact, KTTC meteorologist Randy Brock tweeted that he had 13-inches of snow on his patio in Chester. Here at our house in northwest Rochester, it looks like we had closer to 12.5 inches, if the snow on our patio table is any indication. Either way, that's enough for me!  How much snow did you get at your place?
