Rochester’s Chick-fil-A Getting Closer To Opening

It's been a long time coming, but there are finally visible signs that this chicken restaurant is getting closer to opening in the Med City!

Well, that might be overstating things a bit. I don't know when the restaurant plans on actually opening its doors. But at least they've got the fences up, crews are moving dirt, and things are finally progressing on getting Rochester's Chick-fil-A up and running.

If you don't know, we'd heard almost a year ago already that Chick-fil-A, the nationally-known fast-food chicken joint, was going to open a location here in southeast Minnesota.

Then, we'd heard that the timetable was pushed back, but that it still WAS coming.

Well, when I was trying to get the Chipotle in the Crossroads Shopping Center last week, I ran smack dab into this sign. So, yeah, it looks like things are FINALLY being built!

(As an aside, though, I'm wondering if that location-- right behind Chipotle, and across the parking lot from Savers-- is really the best spot for ANOTHER restaurant. Newt's opened not far from there a few years ago and sometimes there doesn't seem to be a lot of parking the way it is. I wonder just how packed that lot will be once Chick-fil-A finally opens too...)
