It came down to the last competitor, but we found out last night that Rochester's own Andrew 'Roo' Yori, the K9 Ninja, made the cut and is going on the American Ninja Warrior finals in Las Vegas!

The K9 Ninja, as he's known for his tireless work in advocating for homeless dogs, successfully navigated the first portion of the Indianapolis City Finals course, and even made it through the Salmon Ladder on the second part of the course.

He slipped, though, when trying to grab the first shelf on the always-tough Hour-Glass Drop, and ended up in the water. Still, it was an incredible run! And, as Roo told me yesterday when he stopped by the Quick Country 96.5 studios, his main goal was to at least get past the Salmon Ladder. I now know why.

Heading into the last competitor, Roo was on the bubble of being eliminated, as only the top 15 competitors (those who went the farthest the fastest on the finals course) advance. But because the very last competitor, Lorin Ball, failed on the Log Roll -- the first obstacle -- the K9 Ninja made the cut and is headed to the American Ninja Warrior finals in Las Vegas! Which means, Rochester's own K9 Ninja will be headed back to primetime, national TV again in a few weeks!

Way, to go, Roo! We couldn't be more proud! In case you missed it, here are some insights Roo gave us yesterday about his journey to becoming one of country's most successful American Ninja Warriors.
