Rochester Grocery Store Distracts Kids While Parents Shop
Last night we made a trip to Trader Joe’s to pick up some dark chocolate peanut butter cups and a few other things. If you’re a fan of Reece’s peanut butter cups, you should try the ones at Trader Joe’s. They are so good.
As we were shopping for some of the other items are on the list, I learned about something cool the grocery store does to keep kids occupied while parents shop. I feel like I might be the last to know about this because it’s been happening for quite some time, but I think it’s fun and wanted to spotlight them.
The Fun Game Young Kids Can Play at Rochester’s Trader Joe’s
As I was rounding an aisle with my family an employee stopped us and asked if we’d found Larry the Lobster yet.
Huh?
Thankfully, my wife was there and knew what he was talking about because I didn't have a clue. My kids immediately knew what was up and got super excited.
The grocery store’s employees hide a lobster and a goose in different locations around the store for kids to search for as their mom and dad shop and reward the kids if they are successful. Can you find them?
Shopping with kids can be difficult at times, but it wasn’t last night. My kids weren’t asking for anything or bickering with each other. Instead, they walked alongside us working together to try and spot the hidden animals.
They successfully found the lobster and the goose and as we were checking out they received their prize. Each of my kids got a lollipop and some stickers for completing their mission. And, Mom and Dad got a peaceful shopping experience.
If you weren't able to find the animals in the picture above look below. The lobster was hanging from the ceiling and the goose was behind the checkouts.
