Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) – What started as a routine traffic stop has led to felony drug charges against a Rochester man.

Charges were filed in Olmsted County Court this week against 21-year-old Jackson Edwards.

A Rochester police officer who stopped Edwards last November spotted some marijuana “ in plain sight” in his car. That led to a search that turned up 115 grams of methamphetamine. The car was seized and another search led to the discovery of 69 grams of marijuana and another 9 grams of meth. Also found in the vehicle was evidence of drug dealing.

Edwards has been ordered to make his first court appearance Aug. 1.
