According to reports, should the Major League Baseball season happen, Radio and TV broadcasters will not travel with team but instead cover the action in an unusual way.

MLB is trying to reduce the amount of people in Ballparks as much as they can. According to reports from CBS Sports and Bruce Levine, Radio and TV announcers are the odd man, and women, out. This wouldn't be the first time something like this has happened though, as many teams have experimented with this idea before, especially with international play. The New York Yankees are reportedly planning on broadcasting all games remotely.

As a broadcaster who has covered a game remotely before, it isn's the same. The atmosphere is gone, the tone is different, even if you try to make it as authentic as possible, and there are sometimes factors out of your control that you can't foresee happening. It will be interesting to see how this plays out should the MLB season happen as earlier this week, Owners rejected the MLBPA 114-game plan
