The Absolute Smallest Towns You’ll Find in Minnesota
You ever drive through a town and think, “Wait… was that it?”
Like you blink, look up from your coffee, and suddenly you’re already past it?
Welcome to small town Minnesota.

I grew up in one of those places where the population has never cracked 200. And somehow, in true small-town Minnesota fashion, we still had the essentials… a gas station, two bars (of course), a cute little café, a tire shop, a bank, and a post office.
Most days were spent riding bikes until the streetlights came on, swimming in the river, or making that very important trip to the gas station to rent Dirty Dancing... Again. It was very much a “go outside and don’t come back until dinner” kind of childhood… and I wouldn't have it any other way.

But also, let’s be real for a second… I really appreciate being able to walk into Target, makeup-free, not say a word to a single person, and just do my thing. Rochester almost lets me get away with that… but not always.
Not to sound like I don’t like people (I promise I do), but when you grow up somewhere that small, where everyone knows everything about you, your siblings, your parents, your entire life story, it can get a little… exhausting.
Don’t get me wrong, small town life has its perks, but if you know, you know.
Anyway, enough about me. Believe it or not, there are towns in Minnesota even smaller than the one I grew up in. So… how many of these have you actually heard of?
