In case you didn't want turkey on Thanksgiving, there might be a deal on smoked fish soon here in Minnesota.

Now, I love me some smoked salmon. (Heck, we just grilled some cedar-planked salmon last night!) But I don't know if this smoked fish will be anything we want to sink our teeth into anytime soon.

It happened early Monday morning in the Twin Cities, along I-94 in Maplewood. That's where this KARE-11 story says a semi carrying 25,000 pounds of frozen fish caught fire and was blocking traffic. Luckily, the driver wasn't hurt.

Yeah, that's not going to be good. I wonder what they did with all that fish? (And, I wonder what it smelled like up in Maplewood yesterday morning... I'm envisioning a lovely campfire-type smell, but I'm guessing that's not how it actually smelled. There's a big difference between a bonfire or fire in your fireplace and a truck that's on fire.)

And, apparently yesterday wasn't a good day for trucks in Minnesota. That's because WCCO has this story about a mail truck that caught fire off I-394 in Minnetonka Monday as well. The truck ended up toasted, but again, nobody was hurt. (No word on what happened to the mail, though...)
