If you're already getting a case of cabin fever, Sun Country Airlines just made it pretty affordable to book a trip out of Minnesota.

Early to mid-January in the North Star State can sometimes be a dreary time of the year. The holiday season is over, it's cold and snowy, and there are several months of winter staring us in the face. So if you've got the itch to book a vacation, Sun Country Airlines is offering flights out of the Land of 10,000 (Frozen and Snow Covered) Lakes... for less than $40!

It's true. If you book a trip to Denver, Colorado on Sun Country (leaving from MSP - the Minneapolis - St. Paul International Airport) between January 19th through February 15th, your cost is just $39 a ticket. (Actually, it's $38.90 plus bag fees.)

Now while I LOVE Denver and pretty much ALL of Colorado, if heading to the Rocky Mountains in January or February isn't your idea of a vacation, don't fret. Sun Country Airlines is offering a pretty good deal on flights to a much warmer destination: Phoenix, Arizona-- and you can leave from right here in Rochester (though it does involve a 'ground transport'-- or bus ride-- from RST to MSP.)

According to Sun Country's website, you can book a flight from the Rochester International Airport to Phoenix, Arizona leaving on February 26th, 2023 for just $63! That's still pretty affordable!

And there are some really cool things you can do once if fly into Phoenix. if you're looking for a few things to do while you're out in Arizona, my wife and I were just there last May and took a trip up to Page, Arizona (about a four-hour drive north) where we toured Lake Powell and the amazing Antelope Canyon!

Grand Canyon National Park is also nearby, as is the way-cool desert town of Sedona (which my wife and I last visited a few years ago to do some amazing hiking) and they're all within a day trip from Phoenix, assuming you rent a car, that is. Sedona is only about two hours north, while the Grand Canyon is about three-and-a-half hours away from Phoenix's Sky Harbor International Airport.
