The 10 Commandments of Rochesterfest
We're all soooo ready for Rochesterfest this year! There are a lot of new things happening, and a few old favorites returning! Before you head there when festivities begin on June 17th, check out these commandments you simply must follow.
- 1
Thou Must Eat All Of The Fried Cheese Curds
Seriously, they are too tasty to pass up! Take advantage. You can find a food map here.
- 2
Thou Must Observe The New Parade Time
Join us for the parade on Saturday, June 24th, at 2pm! It's not on Friday this year. Get more here.
- 3
Thou Should Make Use Of The Trolley
It will not only save you a lot of time, and parking headaches... it's the safest option too! You know, in case you want to have a drink or two. They've even added a new route this year.
- 4
Thou Shalt Bring Thy Children
There are so many family fun events happening all week long, that it'd be a crime not include the kids on at least some of them! Treasure hunts, animal feedings, Insane Inflatables, Teen Night and so much more! Get the list here.
- 5
Thou Shalt Enjoy The Entertainment
Each day during Rochesterfest, a different band is taking over. There truly is something for everyone when it comes to the entertainment! Get the list here.
- 6
Thou Shalt Bring The Pets
You should bring your pets not only because I want to see those cuties, but there's something for them this year too! Check out what Leashes & Leads is doing for our furry friends.
- 7
Thou Must Game
This year, video games will be on hand for everyone to take part in! You definitely want to pre-register first! Check this out.
- 8
Thou Should Bubbleball
Wanna get your Jake Gyllenhaal on? (Yep, that's a Bubble Boy reference!) This is the easiest, and cheapest way to do it! Have fun with your family and friends with these! $5 is the cost ($4 with Rochesterfest button).
- 9
Thou Must Enjoy Intense Karaoke
Karaoke Night is back! Rochesterfest explains, "Contestants must be at least 15 year of age and will need to audition prior to the event. Not all will be chosen to compete. Two rounds, winners advance to Championship Round. Top prize: $300.00. Qualifying winner advances to the ‘Minnesota Sings’ finals in St. Paul on Sept 24. Top prize $3,000."
