Hint: it involves a lot of help!

Let me begin this blog by sharing a little story with you. On my wedding day, my mother in law gifted my husband and I with a beautiful quilt that included old photos of us as kids. It was such a cute idea! It's hanging in our bedroom now.

The day she presented it to us, I didn't realize how much work she actually put into it. I came to this realization when I made my own t-shirt quilt (for the fun of it) at Kelley's Quality Sewing this month.

It took two classes, and a special three-hour session (at their NW Rochester location) to finish my quilt. I am POSITIVE it would've taken wayyyyy longer if I didn't have Darlene guiding me along the way.

Wanna take a look at the process? I've got to be honest, I was impatient with this one because I was so eager to show it off! I think you will be too.

Here's a look at some steps I took to create the quilt.

I had fun making this quilt, but I COULD NOT have done it without help! I honestly recommend taking these classes first. Darlene was more than patient. There are tons of classes you can take to fit your schedule.
