Fox earned a surprise hit earlier this year with the first season of The Masked Singer, a TV competition show that kept the identities of its celebrity contestants hidden via elaborate costumes and masks. The network recently revealed the first promo for Season 2 of the show, teasing the aliases of some of its new contestants.

The 15-second promo gives quick glimpses of Season 2's new competitors: a skeleton, a flamingo, a fox and more. Nick Cannon will be back as the show's host, and Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke will be back as the four panelists tasked with guessing the identities of each masked singer.

Season 1 of The Masked Singer featured 12 celebrities, their identities hidden, performing for the four panelists and an audience. Each performance was prefaced with a pre-taped interview in which the masked celebrity dropped hints about their identity, and the panelists, collectively, were allowed to ask each performer a single question after each performance.

Performers competed against each other, face-off style, with panelists' and audience members' votes determining each competition's winner and loser. At the end of each episode, the lowest-scoring losing singer was eliminated from competition and revealed their identity by removing their mask.

Rapper T-Pain was the winner of The Masked Singer Season 1, evading elimination. The season's other contestants included actress Rumer Willis, former NFL player Terry Bradshaw, NSYNC member Joey Fatone and more; however, there were no country contestants during the first season.

The Masked Singer will return in September. Fox has also ordered a third season of the show, to premiere in February 2020.
