The Silent Disco is Coming to Rochester
So you're either sitting here saying "So cool!" OR "What in the world is a silent disco?" Allow me to explain..
Love music but hate how loud it is at dances, OR wish you could crank it up for one of your favorite songs? Now you can!
So what is a silent disco? It's a dance that uses wireless headphones instead of big DJ speakers.
The Silent Disco is part of Airglow coming to Rochester this weekend, and it's happening inside a 40-foot Iglo on the Peace Plaza. There will be 4 different Silent Discos going on Friday and Saturday.
On Friday, November 10th:
- Kids & Families (6:30-7:30 pm)
- 16+ (8-10 pm)
On Saturday, November 11th:
- University of Minnesota Rochester Student night (7:30-8:30pm)
- 16+ (9-10 pm)
Rochester Downtown Alliance Executive Director, Jenna Bowman, said: “This brand-new event is something completely different. It allows the community to explore and experience the downtown in a unique way. It also focuses on all ages programming, which is so vital for a vibrant downtown.”
