If you think Thomas Rhett has adorable kids (as he and wife Lauren well document on social media), the throwback photo he posted on social media Sunday (Feb. 25) of himself as a little one is pretty darned cute itself.

Rhett, who apparently got the photo from his dad, fellow country star Rhett Akins, jokingly captioned it: "Over analyzing the set list since 1996." That year would put little Rhett at about age 6, and he's looking very serious in an empty concert venue—likely one that his father was playing at that particular day.

Fans are constantly commenting about Rhett's younger daughter, Ada James, and her striking resemblance to her dad. Is the similarity still apparent when comparing with his first-grade visage? Time will tell!

Rhett was born in 1990, just four years before his father released his debut single. Akins enjoyed a string of hits as a country singer in the 1990s that included a No. 3 hit in 1995 with “That Ain’t My Truck,” as well as a No. 1 hit, “Don’t Get Me Started,” in 1996. He and Rhett's mother divorced when Rhett was young, and Rhett has attributed it partly to the stress of the long periods his father spent away from home on tour.

Rhett himself welcomed his own daughters in 2017. He and Lauren adopted their older  daughter Willa Gray in May, and Lauren then gave birth to Ada in August.

Akins is now known as one of Nashville's top songwriters, and has settled into a new life after he married girlfriend Sonya Mansfield on Sept. 17, 2017 in an outdoor ceremony in Tennessee. Rhett served as a groomsman and Willa Gray was the flower girl.
