Tim McGraw was just in Minnesota a few weeks ago along with Faith Hill, when their Soul 2 Soul Tour played Target Center. Well, he's headed back to the Land of 10,000 Lakes-- and you'll need a boat to see him.

Yes, Tim McGraw IS playing a show here in Minnesota again this summer. It's going down on Lake Minnetonka, and is once again a benefit for veteran's charities. It's all part of this year's Liberty On The Lake, and according to this BringMeTheNews story, it's going down on July 28th.

But, here's the thing: It's being held at a private residence, and you'll need a special invite in order to go. Unless you have a boat, that is-- because if you tie up anchor outside Peter Taunton's Palmer Pointe house on Lake Minnetonka, you can see the show for free.

The story said Taunton is the CEO of Snap Fitness, so yeah, his property looks like it's pretty nice. The Liberty on the Lake stage is right on the shore of Lake Minnetonka, so Tim can turn one way and sing to the invited guests on shore, and then walk across the stage and sing to everyone gathered on the lake.

This Lakeshore Weekly News story says last year's Liberty on the Lake concert raised nearly $250,000 for Folds of Honor, a foundation providing scholarships to spouses and children of fallen and disabled service members. This year, the story said proceeds once again benefit Folds of Honor as well as the charity, Helping Paws, 'a Hopkins-based nonprofit that breeds, trains and places assistance dogs with people with disabilities and veterans with PTSD,' the story said.

If you want to go, though, be warned: You won't be alone. The story says 400 people were invited last year, but nearly 700 showed up in boats on Lake Minnetonka. A this year, nearly 5,000 people have said they're interested, according to the Liberty on the Lake Facebook page.
