Whenever I'm at a school in the spring or fall, I see tons of bikes in the bike racks, so for a lot of kids, tomorrow is going to just another Wednesday. But for the rest of the kids, it is National Bike to School Day (let's just hope the rain holds off). If you have the time, bike with 'em to make sure they're following safe-bike-rules.

I've read about some southern towns where kids can ride bikes to school for the whole school year. Living most of my life in snowy places,

I can only imagine what it'd be like to bike to school in the winter (and, apparently, now in spring). Probably a little something like the biker in the pic. Ugh.

But, why? Why have a bike-to-school day? It's always a good idea to find ways to be physically active, it's fun, and it gets the brain and body ready to learn.

Which schools are doing it in the Rochester area? You're welcome to ride your bike to all the schools, but there is a special spring celebration for these schools in Olmsted County...
