Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester woman and a Stewartville woman were injured in separate single-car crashes on Highway 52 in Rochester Friday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol reports that a Pontiac Montana was traveling southbound on Highway 52 at Civic Center Drive when the vehicle collided with the median barrier at approximately 8:15 a.m. The driver of the vehicle, 43-year-old Norma Cardenas of Rochester, was transported to St. Mary’s with non-life-threatening injuries.

In a separate crash on Highway 52, a Ford Ecosport was traveling on Highway 52 at the 16th Street exit when the vehicle left the roadway and hit the median wall around 6:00 a.m. The driver of the vehicle, 27-year-old Rachel Parsons of Stewartville, was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported that the road conditions were snow/ice-covered at the time of each incident. The State Patrol also reported that there were 349 crashes statewide on Friday morning from 5:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thirty-four of those crashes involved an injury.
