No Corkscrew rides for us this year. Valleyfair has just made the announcement that they will be closed until they can safely open in 2021.

Although we have done our due diligence in developing a comprehensive safety plan in accordance with industry and public health standards, the continued uncertainty in our region surrounding COVID-19 as well as the diminishing number of calendar days left in the 2020 season, has brought us to the difficult decision to keep the park closed for the rest of the year.

If you had a season pass for 2020 it will be valid through 2021 and to "further show their commitment and appreciation", all 2020 Season Passholders will now also receive a Pass Perks Loyalty Rewards valid for purchases within the park in 2021.

If you happened to have day passes into Valleyfair for this summer, they will be accepted through September 6th, 2021.

Though this is a huge bump in the road for the amusement park, they are keeping their heads held high and looking forward to next year. Some new things to look forward to are:

  • Peanuts Celebration, a special event honoring the classic cartoons of Minnesota native Charles Schulz
  • Corn Feast, the park’s longest-standing event featuring 30,000 lbs. of free corn on the cob and corn eating competitions
  • The new Lakeshore Landing event space, a new Corn Cart building where guests can watch corn roasting and popping through giant glass windows, and restroom renovations for an improved guest experience.

Valleyfair closed out their park update thanking guests and associates for their loyalty and support during this challenging time and they are already looking forward to seeing everyone next summer.
