I watched on Sunday as our Governor, Tim Walz, shared the news that all Minnesota K-12 public schools would be closing on March 18th.  The schools will remain closed until March 27th to help our state combat coronavirus.

As a mom with kids, my mind immediately went to “how much food do we need for lunches, snacks, and milk to get through these days at home?”.  As long as we can find the groceries, we will be fine. Unfortunately, some kids rely on breakfast and lunch at school for their meals, and these days away from school could mean limited food for their bodies.

A local business has stepped up to help...no questions asked.

To describe the events of last week, the only word that comes to mind is SURREAL!!! Tomorrow we embark on a "new" week. Entering the scary unknown - But lets do just as Mr Rogers said to do in crisis..."Find the Helper" - Victoria's wants to be that helper. We belong to this great community and we are here to lend a hand. Restaurants are natural partners to hungry people. #helpinghands

Any child who needs a meal can come to the restaurant. Marinara Sauce with Pasta. Meat Sauce with Pasta. Buttered Noodles. And FRESH BREAD!! No questions asked. No purchase necessary. Please see the front desk upon arrival.

Shopping local is of utmost importance now. One week ago we had a booming economy - We have been brought to our knees.

Thank You Rochester - We Will Get Through This Together.
