Sure, technology has made it much easier to record a video these days, especially if you're using a camera like a GoPro. But you still have to know which direction to have it pointed!

In this hilarious video by Evan Griffin, we learn that he's given his dad his GoPro camera to document his vacation to Las Vegas. The only problem is, Evan neglected to tell his dad how to use the camera, and he ended up having it pointed the wrong direction the entire time.

So, instead of seeing the impressive view of the Vegas strip from his hotel balcony, all we see is background footage of his room, with a stunning selfie-type view of Mr. Griffin. His entire trip is one big unintended selfie. And, thanks to Evans editing, what happened in Vegas... didn't stay in Vegas.

It reminds me a little of the video my best friend's mom made during our high school graduation ceremony. In the opening minutes, all you see are wild shots of the floor, the ceiling, the inside of the black lens cap, all while you hear her asking, "How do you use this thing?!?" (Of course, back then, she was trying to use one of those bulky camcorders you had to sling over your shoulder and manually focus, so learning how to use one was a bit more difficult.)
