What is the deadliest highway in Minnesota? It's US 169. with an average of 6 fatalities a year over the last decade. That's according to GeoTab.com, which lists the deadliest highways in each state. And as sad and tragic as that number is, it doesn't even rate top ten in the nation.

#1 deadliest highway in the nation goes to State Highway 1 in Florida. Instead of Minnesota's stretch of US 169  60 crashes, and 68 fatalities over ten years, US 1 saw 1,011 crashes and 1,079 fatalities in the last 10 years. That's a shocking difference in safety. And that's just on one highway.

The number of Minnesota traffic fatalities (as of July 31, 2019) is 186 (source). We ended 2018 with 381. I'm hoping with Minnesota's new STOP TOUCHING YOUR PHONE law we won't see 381 again.
