Pickup trucks are popular all over the Land of 10,000 Lakes, but according to a recent survey, THIS is the truck that's The Most Talked-About in Minnesota.

The gang over at AutoWise.com just did a pretty cool survey of the Most Popular Trucks In Each State. And they did it in a pretty cool way-- they looked at over 200,000 Tweets in from the month of March that mentioned the top-selling trucks in the U.S., then geotagged that Twitter data to find out just which trucks are popular in a specific area (or state.)

And guess which truck is on top and is the Most Talked About here in Minnesota? According to AutoWise.com, that'd be the 2019 Ford Ranger! Which is a bit of a surprise, because, nationally, that truck (which is making its return here in 2019) comes in ranked #9. The top truck in the nation in March of this year was the Ford F-150, with the Chevy Silverado and Dodge Ram coming second and third.

So why is the Ranger-- a truck that hasn't even been available since 2011, until its revival earlier this year-- so popular in Minnesota? I'm merely guessing here, but, is the fact that some of those Rangers used to be manufactured here in Minnesota at the now-closed Ford plant in St. Paul still having an effect on its popularity here?

Meanwhile, both over in my home state of Wisconsin, and with our neighbors to the south in Iowa, the Dodge Ram is the Most Talked About Truck. (At least in March of this year, that is...)
