Which Pro Athlete Has Cut Back On Diet Coke– And Now ‘Only’ Has 10 To 12 Cans A Day?!?
Pro athletes are usually in top physical condition-- lean, mean, calorie-burning machines that get paid well to perform athletic endeavors the rest of us couldn't possibly do. Which means they must live a healthy lifestyle, without excess-- right? Well, not if you're THIS athlete-- who admits he still smokes cigarettes, and LOVES his Diet Coke. So who is he?
It's golfer John Daly, who's looking noticeably thinner since having lap-band surgery in 2009, and will celebrate six years of sobriety next month . That doesn't mean, however, he's the picture of health.
In a recent interview, Daly said he still smokes 40 cigarettes a day, which is two packs. And although he has significantly cut back on his Diet Coke habit, he's still drinking a ton of it.
He said, quote, "I still drink [Diet Coke] but not nearly as much as I used to. The lap-band won't allow me to drink as many. If I don't have ice, I can't drink it. I can't have it straight because of the carbonation .
"I used to have 26 to 28 cans a day. Now I have 10 to 12 at the most," Daly said recently.
So, he's DOWN to a 12-pack of Diet Coke a day? Yikes!
