Internet star, Grumpy Cat, has been cast in her first major TV movie — a holiday-themed film for Lifetime called “Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever.”

In the film, Grumpy (whose real name is Tardar Sauce) plays a pet-store cat that is always overlooked by customers until a young girl finds that she can hear the cat talk.

The little girl in the film is named after the daughter of the cat’s owner, Tabatha Bundesen, and in the film Grumpy Cat foils a plot to dog-nap a pampered pooch.

Filming on the movie is expected to begin in August, and Grumpy Cat has already released two books, a wall calendar, a flavor of coffee, T-shirts, mugs, and more.

Grumpy Cat’s official YouTube Channel has over 120,000 subscribers and over 20 million views.
