You don't have to go to the gym to have a healthy lifestyle.

And, you'll get a clean house out of the deal!

Doing just 150 minutes of house work a week will slash your heart attack risk, cut your risk of type 2 diabetes, and lower your risk for many cancers this according to The Sun.

150 minutes may sound like a lot, but when you break it down weekly, it's just 30 minutes a day for 5 days a week.

It turns out you can pretty much count housework as exercise. When researchers tracked over 130,000 people in 17 countries they found those who did any kind of exercise for 150 minutes a week cut their risk of early death by 31 percent.

So just how many calories can you burn by doing chores?

  • 30 minutes of washing windows = 125 calories
  • 30 minutes of mopping = 200 calories
  • 30 minutes of vaccuming = 100 calories
  • 30 minutes of laundry = 110 calories

Leverage ladies, leverage! ;)
