The Eagles Cancer Telethon is coming up on January 16-17 at the Mayo Civic Center in Rochester. This is the longest running, locally produced telethon in America, at 62 years, all on KTTC-TV! Proceeds help out the Mayo Clinic Cancer Research Department, The Hormel Institute and the University of Minnesota Cancer Center.

It takes a large group of volunteers to make it all happen, too. It also takes a big group of talented singers and dancers, like you!

Normally, the telethon has had 3 tryouts on 3 different Sundays. This year, they've scaled back the tryouts to just 2 days, November 1st and 8th. It all happens at the Rochester Eagles Club from 11am to 4pm.

If you are singing, you HAVE to have a karaoke track to sing over. You cannot sing over the artist vocals. If you have a band, please bring a DVD for the judges to see.

It's first come, first to perform on the list, so get there early! I have donated my time and PA System for many years to help this great cause and yes, I will be running the music for you. See you there. -Alan
