If you want to relive a World War II swing dance, then there’s a 2014 Rochesterfest event that’s just for you.
A Rochester Hangar Dance will be held Saturday, June 21, at the Rochester General Aviation Airport from 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. 40s attire is encouraged.
The Generation II Big Band will provide the music.
There will be prizes awarded in three categories for best period dress.

The dance is being sponsored by the Scott Hosier Veterans Round Table and the Minnesota Veterans and Emergency Services Museum Committee. Proceeds will go to the museum.
For anybody not familiar with swing dancing, there will be free lessons at 7 p.m. The dance will begin at 7:45 p.m. The cost of tickets is $20 in advance and $23 at the door, with $1 off with a Rochesterfest Button.
