There are a lot of surgeries in this town, with Mayo and Olmsted Medical Center. I bet you didn't know that there are a lot of germs spread AFTER the work is done.

A story from Reuters said researchers recruited doctors, nurses and other health care personnel.

They put on protective gowns and gloves in their usual manner and then had a small amount of fluorescent lotion placed in the palm of their hands. They then removed their scrubs and gloves.

Researchers used a black light to check for lotion contamination and found skin or clothing contamination happened 46% of the time, more frequently during glove removal.
