Recently, we had the pleasure of eating at Michael's Restaurant in downtown Rochester. I always considered it a "fancy restaurant" to eat at. I had the prime rib with an order of shrimp, plus the au gratin potatoes. In all the years I've been going to Michael's, I've never had a bad or disappointing meal.

Michael's will be closing tomorrow night, New Years Eve, after 60 years in business, to make way for expansion and development in downtown Rochester.

It got me thinking, where's the next 'fancy restaurant' in Rochester? What's your choice? My choice would be 'Salute' Restaurant, at the Marriott Hotel. The food is prepared by Chef Pasquale and crew.

So to Michael's and the rest of the Pappas family: Thanks so much from someone who really enjoys a great meal. - Alan
