Cigarette smoking is a bad habit not only for you and your lungs, but for the environment. Every discarded cigarette butt has carcinogens that pollute the environment and eventually, the waters.

The students from John Adams recently picked up cigarette butts from downtown Rochester for their 'Butt-Kickers' campaign. Just in downtown Rochester alone, they collected over 26,000 butts. They got 5 cents for each butt, up to $1,500 dollars. Great job!
