I Can See Clearly Now, the Contacts and Glasses Are Gone
I think I made it approximately one year before I got sick of glasses and contacts again! So, last week I took the plunge back into the laser surgery world.
If you recall, the eye I did NOT have LASIK on several years ago decided to go bad, so I had to wear ONE contact. Let me rewind in case you didn't hear. When I was about 20 years old, I decided to go get LASIK, just two short years, or maybe even less, after finding out I needed to wear glasses. They actually recommended that I only do the surgery on one eye, because the other wasn't quite up there in the "horrible prescription" category. Seven years later, my LASIK eye is still 20/20. The other eye, meanwhile, not so much.
I went back to the eye doc last year to find out I needed to resort BACK to glasses (with prescription only for the one eye... would be nice if I got half price or something right?), and/or wear one contact (talk about feeling lopsided). While sitting in the exam chair, I couldn't get my mind off LASIK. I was ready to do it again, this time on the other eye.
I'm happy to report that I now have 20/15 vision in my right eye! The surgery is by far the BEST investment, in my opinion.
I get to wear "adorable" goggles to bed, and put drops in my eyes every hour for the next week, but I CAN SEE!!! #HappyGirl
