Ironic Story of the Day- People Get Food Poisoning At Food Safety Meeting

Over 100 people who recently attended the national Food Safety Summit in Baltimore got sick from food poisoning.

They suffered from diarrhea and nausea as a result of the illness.

The conference was attended by 1,300 of the nation's "top food safety officials" including employees from the Food and Drug Administration, McDonald's, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The number of those sickened might be even larger than the reported 100, since event organizers have only heard back from a third of those who attended.
