Democrat Mark Dayton won his second term as Minnesota governor. He bested Republican challenger Jeff Johnson, who is a Hennepin County commissioner.

Senator Al Franken beat Republican Mike McFadden.

Tom Emmer has won the congressional seat being vacated by Michele Bachmann. Emmer beat Democrat Joe Perske

Republican Representative John Kline has won his 7th term in Congress. Kline beat Democrat Mike Obermueller even after liberal comedian Bill Maher made him the target of his "Flip-A-District" campaign.
