Congratulations to the Grand Meadow Superlarks and the Caledonia Warriors, who are playing for the state championships today at TCF Bank Stadium. Grand Meadow plays Underwood at 10am.

Grand Meadow, Minneota, and Becker are the only defending champions that have survived the first two rounds of tournament play. Eight teams that made it to their respective championship games still boast unblemished records.

The top-ranked Superlarks of Grand Meadow are making their fourth consecutive and eighth overall appearance and seek their third consecutive and overall title in Class 9-Man.

The Class A defending champion Minneota Vikings are making their second consecutive and 12th overall appearance. They were the top-ranked team in this year's final Associated Press (AP) poll and also won titles in 1986, 1987, 1988, and 2009. The defending champions in Class AAAA, the Becker Bulldogs, return for their second consecutive and 15th overall appearance. They were No. 1 in the final AP poll and are looking for their third championship. In addition to last year, Becker also won in 2005.

The 2015 Prep Bowl will be conducted over two days, Friday, Nov. 13, and Saturday, Nov. 14, at TCF Bank Stadium on the University of Minnesota Minneapolis campus. It will be the second time that the Prep Bowl will be conducted outdoors. Prep Bowl was created in 1982 and the games were played in the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome from the time it opened through the fall of 2013.

KSTC-TV, Channel 45 will broadcast all seven games live, as well as feed numerous cable systems around the state. The games will also be streamed live for Web viewing at www.Prep45.com. The webcasts will cost $6.97 for one day of live events, and for on-delay viewing at $6.97 per game. There is also a "Tournament Pass" package available, which includes both days, for $10.97.

Friday, Nov. 13
Class 9-Man: Underwood (13-0) vs. Grand Meadow (13-0) @ 10 a.m.

Underwood is making its third consecutive and seventh overall appearance and is looking for its first title. The Rockets lost in the quarterfinals in 2014. Two-time defending champion Grand Meadow closed the season ranked No. 1 in the final AP poll. The Superlarks are making their fourth consecutive and eighth overall appearance, winning titles in 2013 and 2014.

Class AA: Pipestone Area (13-0) vs. Caledonia (13-0) @ 1 p.m.
The Arrows of Pipestone Area are making their second consecutive and overall appearance under this name. Last year, the Arrows lost in the semifinals. Pipestone made two additional appearances in 1977 and 1980. The Arrows are still looking for their elusive first title. The Caledonia Warriors are looking for their seventh championship, after losing in the semifinals in 2014. This is their second consecutive and 11th overall appearance. The Warriors won previously in 1976, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012.

Class AAAA: South St. Paul (11-1) vs. Becker (12-0) at 4 p.m.
South St. Paul returns for its third consecutive and sixth overall appearance. The Packers bowed out in the quarterfinals last year and are still looking for their first championship. The No. 1-ranked Becker Bulldogs return to defend their 2014 title. They are making their second consecutive and 15th overall appearance. In addition to last year, the Bulldogs also claimed a title in 2005.

Class AAAAAA: Osseo (9-3) vs. East Ridge, Woodbury (11-1) @ 7 p.m.
The Orioles of Osseo return to make their second appearance as a co-op with Maranatha Christian Academy of Brooklyn Park. They made their first appearance in 2013. Osseo also made seven additional appearances as a single school between 1982 and 1993. The Orioles have never won a state title. East Ridge is making its second consecutive and overall appearance. The Raptors fell in the quarterfinals last year.

Saturday, Nov. 14
Class A: Minneapolis North Community (12-0) vs. Minneota (13-0) @ 10 a.m.
Minneapolis North Community looks to improve on last year's semifinal showing. It is the second consecutive and fifth overall appearance for the Polars. Minneapolis North Community has never won a state championship. The Vikings of Minneota look to defend their 2014 Class A title. They also won championships in 1986, 1987, 1988 and 2009. Minneota is making its second consecutive and 12th overall appearance; it made one additional appearance as a co-op with Lincoln HI of Ivanhoe in 2013.

Class AAA: Jackson County Central (10-2) vs. Pierz (12-0) @ 1 p.m.
Jackson County Central is making its sixth appearance under this name, but first since 2001. The Huskies also made two additional appearances as Jackson in 1985 and 1989. Overall, the Huskies have earned two championships – one in 1985 and one in 2001. The Pioneers of Pierz return to make their third consecutive and 11th appearance overall appearance. The Pioneers won one previous title in 2004.

Class AAAAA: St. Thomas Academy, Mendota Heights (11-1) vs. St. Michael-Albertville (11-1) @ 4 p.m.
The Cadets of St. Thomas Academy return for their 22nd appearance, but first since 2012. They are in the hunt for their second title. They claimed their first in 1975. The Knights of St. Michael-Albertville, who have never won a state title, return for their third consecutive and eighth overall appearance. They lost in the semifinals in 2014.
