There is a vaccine for measles. Polio, too. Sadly, some parents don't vaccinate their children and they catch measles. Those parents are a special kind of stupid no matter what they say. Because they are stupid, they cause others to suffer with measles.

Well, doctors are warning parents against bringing back “measles parties,” which used to be held to expose children to the disease where at least one infected person was present.

The parties were thought to help children build immunity against the disease and were sometimes used instead of vaccinating or leaving exposure up to chance.

The experts say that the parties put the exposed children in serious risk and could contribute to further spreading the outbreak.

The CDC also stressed that measles can lead to pneumonia, brain swelling and death.
