A woman in New York City had a piece of platinum jewelry placed in her eye to make her stand out in a crowd.
The heart-shaped sequin measures 3.5mm and was inserted in the white of her right eyeball.
The jewelry has not been approved by the FDA to do the procedure and experts are warning consumers about the dangers of such procedures.
