Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News)  - A Rochester man was taken to jail Tuesday - after he was treated for a head injury suffered during an attempted burglary.

Police officers were called to the 1300 block of 4th Ave. SW around 2:00 p.m. by a neighbor who saw two men trying to break into a duplex.

Officers could not locate the men but discovered the front door of one of the duplex units had been kicked open. A man living there told the officers who the intruder was and that the attempted break-in was due to a dispute over money. The man says he hit 43-year-old Joshua Reilly over the head with a large chain when he entered his home.

Reilly was later located at his residence and after being treated for his head injury, was taken into custody.
