It's time to drag the snowblower out of the shed or garage and get it going.  If it's been sitting for a long time and you haven't used it, chances are the gas has 'gone flat'.  That means the octane that helps fire the gas has pretty much evaporated.

After chatting with experts Fred Wright at Wright's Small Engine repair in Rochester and Jonette Pierce at Pierce Sales and Service in Plainview, they both say the same thing:  Empty the old gas out and put fresh gas in.  And DON'T use regular.  Spend the extra dime for the gallon and get the 'premium'.  They say that the higher octane is better for small engines and helps them start better.  Use the premium for your snowblower, lawn mower, weed whacker, leafblower and more.

My snowblower wouldn't start and I replaced the gas with fresh gas.  I choked it, primed it about 8 times and it started on the FIRST pull!  Woo-hoo!   Bring on the winter Mother Nature....I'm ready for ya!   -Alan
