Resolutions are tough to keep, but these three are small, and they'll make you feel good without much effort, so you WILL keep 'em!

HAVE A GENUINELY GOOD FEELING EVERY MORNING

    It's All About Your Password!

If you have some lee-way on choosing passwords, pick one that is secure, but will remind you of a great memory. For instance...

    Meatballs.12#

would be great if you and a friend once had a meatball fight in your senior year. Every morning, you log in, you smile the memory of Kelly, Becca, and you throwing meatballs around the high school cafeteria. The smile isn't so important here, but the good feeling is because it's genuine.

    DO A CAFFEINE CLEANSE

No, Not That Kind of Cleanse

I'm not talking about a way to clean your system. Your kidneys and liver do that. No other cleanse is needed, really.

I'm talking about taking three weeks off coffee, tea, pop, whatever way you get caffeine. Drink a bunch of water, maybe start the day with a Tylonol to keep the headache small, but do it. Three weeks. No caffeine.

Then, go ahead, indulge. HOLY MOLY the caffeine buzz is uh-maze-ing!

    MAKE NO RESOLUTIONS

    but Isn't This About Resolutions?

Yes, this is about making resolutions. Resolutions are promises to yourself. What's the best way to keep a promise? Don't make it.

Turn the idea on its head and instead, make a 2018 List of Things That'd Be OK to Do BUT Aren't Required. Go to a museum, buy something in the produce section you do NOT recognize, read something NOT on a screen.
