What to do? Where to go? Who to see? The options are awesome this weekend in Minnesota. Mother Nature is delivering some below average, comfortable conditions to traipse around the state fairgrounds or wedge yourself into a seat at a packed stadium of one sort or another.

The Twins are in first place! If you haven't been to a Twins game yet this season, no time is better than now as they continue to thrill their fans day in and day out. You might see a squirrel! When you can't get to the game, listen on AM 1390 for the call.

The Vikings are playing preseason games for now, but fans can't get enough of NFL action. Minnesota hosts Arizona Saturday, August 24 at noon at US Bank Stadium.

The Minnesota State Fair is upon us with more food, animals, exhibits, and attractions than you can shake food-on-a-stick at. There are 30 new foods this year. Bring some money. It is going to cost you.

The Renaissance Festival is underway in Shakopee. The chance to interact with themed characters, watch jousting and other unique shows is a great trip through time. This year marks the 49th celebration of the 16th Century. The grounds features 16 performance stages.

High school football teams will gather for scrimmages on Saturday in preparation for the start of the season next week. The two-time defending state champion Owatonna Huskies will be at Prior Lake at 9 am. NRHEG competes in Dodge Center where Triton is hosting a scrimmage. Medford goes to Pine Island. Blooming Prairie will participate in a 2 pm scrimmage hosted by Maple River.

Check out the full high school football play-by-play schedule for the Townsquare Media Southeast Minnesota Sports Network.
