5 ‘Kick Butt’ Characters You’ll Want To Remember

In case you missed it, today is National "Kick Butt" Day! So, I wanted to honor female characters who kick butt all this week on Afternoons With Val! Every day at 2:30pm, we'll be honoring female butt-kicking characters with a clip. Let's have fun and guess who it is!

To celebrate/prepare, here are my favorite "kick butt" females.

1) Katniss Everdeen

I don't think anyone but Jennifer Lawrence could've played Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games series. Katniss is vulnerable, but strong. She gets toucher each installment!

2) Tris Prior

Beatrice Prior (also known as Tris) of the Divergent series is an awesome character. What makes her awesome is her ability to stand up to the rest of society and right unspeakable wrongs. Shailene Woodley does an amazing job playing her!

3) The Bride

We know her as The Bride, but Uma Thurman is seriously everything in the Kill Bill series. She has to fend off against other assassins, and work on her own goals at the same time. Tough gig, but Uma can handle it!

4) Black Widow

Not only does Scarlett Johansson kick butt as Black Widow in The Avengers series, she may have the toughest job of all: keeping the rest of the Avengers in line!

5) Wonder Woman

I've got to admit it, I don't think we'd have any of the females on this list without this one. Lynda Carter may have paved the way for strong female characters by bringing Wonder Woman to life. Look for Gal Gadot to bring the story back next summer!
