According to the August 12, 2020 noon update from the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), 134,304 (up from 133,125 on 8/11) total cases of coronavirus have now been confirmed in Louisiana. Hospital data delayed. There are currently 1,335 COVID-19 patients in hospitals (down from 1,335 on 8/11), 214 of which are on ventilators (down from 214 on 8/11).

All 64 parishes in the state have reported confirmed cases. There have been 4,238 total deaths (up from 4,195 on 8/11) reported statewide with 89,083 presumed recoveries.
